5 Interesting WitBlox Maker Projects
Witblox, is a ‘do it yourself’ startup for children which shows endless possibilities for creative inventions in the field of electronics and semi-advanced level of robotics. Engaging across the country the Witblox community has a large number of children who often carry out some amazing inventions beyond their daily limitations. Here are the 5 best inventions done by the makers of the witblox community.
1. Automatic wheelchair by Vaishnavi Bhavishkar from Nasik
We have seen automated wheelchairs which can be moved with a joystick. But how about moving the same wheelchair with just a few hand gestures. Vaishnavi from Pethe high school Nasik came up with this amazing idea. Using two obstacle sensors and some reverse logic of output function she designed this miniature of a fully automated wheelchair which will move on hand gestures. Check out the video to know more about Vaishnavi’s project. She is a true witblox maker.
2. Smart, Cute & Eco-friendly Ganesha by Pranay Sisir
A child’s brain works in a similar manner to that of a scientist. Always asking questions and trying to know the logic and the reason for things happening around and constantly processing it to match those with the work they do every day. Pranay Sisir is aware of the fact that when we offer something to Lord Ganesha he will definitely bless us. But for children blessing is a form of physical activity, and that is what he showed in the above video. He made a small cute Ganesha and made sure when we offer something to him he moves his hand and bless his devote. Using modular electronics and putting them in logic to get a suitable output is what Pranay has done. Another beautiful example of a smart and cute invention using witblox.
3. Smart stick for the visually impaired by six years old boy, Nishan
For a child who is just 6 years old and coming up with such an idea is more than enough to prove that children are very compassionate towards society. A child has enough artistry to shock the world. Using simple logic and sensors in combination with sound and light, Nishan has created this amazing smart stick for visually impaired people. Have a look.
4. Automatic page turner by Hema
Yet another smart invention by one of many talented Witblox makers Hema. This is an example of critical thinking and problem-solving practice. A very detailed video where she has shown how ‘do it yourself’ & Witblox can be a deadly combination. Imagine a child growing up with such ideas and using in their daily life, regularly. Enjoy the video.
5. Smart dust-bin by Manaswini
Little Masanwini with her cute little invention is inspiring the team of Witblox. Check out the video and see how smart she is to design a dust bin which opens automatically & closes after the use.
‘When children create such amazing daily solutions on their own using Witblox it feels out of the world & that is one of the driving forces for the team’ — said Amit Modi, an IIT Bombay alumni & the founder of Witblox. Working with children for almost a decade now, Amit sees the hidden potential in every child. And with Witblox he is encouraging the young generation to become more creative.
