A school from Pune is setting an example for future education.
Priyadarshani School from Pune is setting an example by going digital for their administrative & leaning process. Even before the nationwide lockdown for the COVID19 pandemic, the school was undergoing many futuristic changes. Among them, one of the recent developments is the inter-class yearly exams which were conducted online this year. The School has also launched their admission process using online resources such as Google form for the upcoming academic year of 2020–2021 across all classes from kindergarten to standard twelve. Parents can also generate an inquiry regarding admission through certain online processes. On submitting the inquiry a person from the administrative team of the school will address the inquiry by making a direct phone call to the respective parents.
Keeping in mind that even after more than a month of the lockdown, the growing rate of COVID19 infection is still following an exponential growth, the school has decided to go almost 100 per cent digital until the government of India concede all educational institutions to re-open and let children come in as usual. Collaborating with Microsoft the school administration has started training the teachers for online classes, assessments and even online interaction using Microsoft’s video conferencing support.
“Modern education is organic, always changing for the betterment of the learners, adapting fast enough to suit the need of teachers & how they educate children. And hence we took the step into the digital learning ecosystem. We want our students to be in constant learning mode. Digitalization in education is a must under present situation & who knows it better than the children(smiles)” — quote from one of the principals of Priyadarshani School, Bhosari Branch.Pune.
For the first time in the history of mankind, more than 1.5 billion learners (UN Report) across all age groups throughout the globe are away from their regular education, may it be a school, college or university. Quick adaptive nature of the administration and digitalization of education is the only possible solution for the time being. And the way Priyadarshani School from Pune is adapting towards the same is simply inspiring.
