Children are Learning to Build Mobile Apps during Lockdown
95 kids from 21 cities joined the Witblox mobile app making webinar
Computers, online resources and mobile apps are going to be an essential part of life in the coming years. The world is changing very fast and so as our lifestyle. Our dependency is now shifting from multiple physical dimensions to the multi-dimensional virtual world. The skill of developing computer programs and mobile apps are going to be in high demand.
With a similar notion Witblox, a robotics learning app & the team behind it came up with an idea of organizing a series of webinars for children in which they will help the young brigade learn coding to develop mobile apps.
The call-out was for the existing community members of witblox who are called witblox makers and the moment the news went out within a few hours the registration got full. Children from across the country grabbed the opportunity for yet another tech-based skill training.
Within a few hours, the registration got full. This is the story of Witblox’s first-ever webinar with children on mobile app coding.
95 kids of varying age group came together for this webinar where they were up for their life’s first experience of developing their personal mobile app.
The web-based zoom app window was like ‘houseful’, all waiting eagerly to know the world of mobile apps and how they are developed.
Building mobile apps regardless of its use has been a favourite subject of interest for children especially in the time when the world is going through a global lockdown. Whether it’s about learning or gaming, mobile apps are now a part of our life, so knowing the secrets of developing one is a ‘bomb’ of an opportunity.
And finally, when the webinar started, it was like ‘never looking back’. Super excited kids just went on exploring the ways and techniques of coding and understanding the developmental flow of a mobile app. The children were quick in their learning and rather quicker in responding because in case of online-based learning a constant followup of whether the children are understanding or not is maintained regularly either by the host of the webinar or by the instructor/facilitator of the webinar.
The webinar went on for a little over than 2 hours and by the end of the session, almost all the children were enjoying their mobile app on their phone. Most importantly the children were super excited as they created their very first android app. The app was simple, it was a ‘text to speech’ app, but the children are now well aware of the fact that the possibilities are endless, and this is where the witblox team consider their app developing initiative for children as a victory, as one of the team members stated.
Everything went super smooth, we never thought that we will carry out our first webinar with nearly 100 witblox makers, and the biggest gift for us is to see the happiness and excitement within the children after learning to code an android app, the children are very smart and I am sure now when they know the process they will do wonders out of their imagination, this is what we want for the future, if you know the skill you can find a solution of a problem, and this is what we want to give to the children.
Future is all about skill-based learning. Team Witblox is now ready to take their webinar of Android app coding to the world. Soon they will start the same for children outside their community. If you want your child to learn android app coding then contact witblox at www.witblox.com or you can connect with them on any of their social media platforms as follows, Facebook or Instagram.
