Great opportunity for children to invent for the future & win a cash prize of INR 50,000
Techfest 2020 by IIT Bombay, is Asia’s Largest Science & Technology Festival is round the corner and this time the plan is bigger than ever where children can participate in the ‘WitBlox Young Inventor TechFest 2020’ competition and win a grand prize of INR 50,000/-
Here is how you can take part in the competition.
Step 1 To participate you have to download the Witblox Robotics Learning app from the Google play store (don’t worry, it’s a free app). Register yourself on the app.
Step 2 Once you enter the app you will be able to see the Young Inventor 2020 banner on the home screen. Just touch the banner to enter into the world of WitBlox Young Inventor TechFest 2020 competition.
Step 3 Before you select your favourite theme just have a look at the timeline, rules, FAQs and Eligibility.
Step 4 Once again when you are done with all the rules and regulations, proceed and choose your favourite theme. There are four different themes for the competition, Safe Community Living, Kitchen Automation, Innovation in Farming & Home Automation.
Step 5 Once you select your theme, do check out the video and read the about section very carefully. When done, you just have to click the ‘participate’ tab located at the end of the about section.
Step 6 Once you click the participate tab, you need to put in your personal details. Here you get an option either to participate as an individual or as a group of maximum 4 members. Once done just press the signup button.
Step 7 As you signup, a new tab will appear as ‘submit idea’.
Click on it and write down your idea of your invention in 250 words.
Remember your idea must be unique. Once you press submit, the system will send you a notification in the next 24 hours regarding whether your idea is selected or not. In case your idea is not selected, you can always submit a new idea on the same theme or you may choose a new one.
Step 8 If your idea is selected, start working on your prototype. You may take the help of the witblox app again to explore all the robotics projects at various levels, Arduino projects, drone projects & DIY projects to manifest your idea from your imagination to reality.
